Three GI’s carrying a wounded comrade on a stretcher. Each figure modeled in clay after press photos from the Vietnam war and individually cast as one-offs. The wounded figure carved in lime wood and loosely based on renaissance figures of the suffering Christ. The young underprivileged man as the sacrificial lamb of our times.
